I'm sure this response will not be very popular but I have a profile on POF and think it is just fine. In fact, I have actually had dates with some very nice men from that site.

I love M2 but it is not what I would call a "dating site".

The format sucks but, like anywhere else, it's the people that make or break it.
I had a female friend insist that I go on there when I lived in Phoenix so I did but have not been there in a long time. Don't come one here too much either.

I have a life outside the computer chat world where people are what you see is what you get...and I like that. It's called outside.

I've found that there are flakes and frauds on every site you go to, just like there are in every establishment on the planet. I've found that maybe a few more gravitate to the free sites, which in real life you'd generally find attached to alcoholic places.

I have a profile there. I don't have any problems with it. I've met a couple girls from there whe weren't bad, just not for me. I actually get more dating results from there than I do here.

I've been here for a week or so and haven't even been viewed by more than 5 people and none of them in my area. I spend way more time here since we have better forums but am not opposed to making friends at POF either.

Went to that site once... At the suggestion of making contact with someone from another site.. It cracked me up... Almost all these sites you have to join to see the inside operations and then BAM your stuck there. Seems, they don't actually delete your profile when requested.. All in all dating sites just creat a vacuum.... its all based on the person being honest...lol wish there was one that could verify things... aww they wouldn't get business then..

I am a former fish.
I saw a lot of the same local people there that I have seen here. But again they don't post in the forums, and are not what I was looking for anyway.
I didn't have much fun over there so I dropped it.

the forums over there suck, but I've only met one guy from here in person... there I've met several.

Doesn't matter which pool I try, both are virtually empty for anyone with my tastes in my area.

I'm guessing if I'm going to continue to try internet dating, I'm eventually going to have to start forking out some serious dough to find someone attractive with substance in my area.

spending days and nights to provide a cool and moderated site for people to mingle and chat with...just to have them talk about another chat site...
