He told me he came back to explain, and that altho he cares so deeply for me, he knows we can't meet in person because it will be even harder to say goodbye.  He is determined to fly solo as a 'warrior'. Don't get me wrong. I'm so proud of him. But to make it permanent he cut all ties again. Deactivated again on here, and deleted the yahoo IM we were talking on.
I have no way to reach him. I am powerless to do anything about this situation. I understand he has to do this to keep his focus. He truly believes that. I believe a strong woman is an asset to a soldier, and I would support and back him 100%. But he says all the SF guys are divorced. That it wouldn't be fair to me to have a PT BF. Although I will be praying for him non-stop, he's left me no way to reach him. Ever. 
Why am I sharing? Because the pain is too intense to bear alone.
I can compete against another woman. And win. I can't compete against an ARMY. Especially an 'army of one' ..
That's all. I don't really expect advice. There's none to give.  Just needed to let it out.
I "found the one my soul loves and I held on and would not let go" .. (Song of Songs)  OMG !!!!! HE CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT MEETING ME!!!
This past Wednesday I received an email from him and he asked if we could meet. He was leaving the next morning to meet his family for 3 weeks but changed his mind and wanted to meet before he left. 
I was like .. TOTAL shock! I hadn't heard from him since I started this thread many weeks ago ......... I knew the soldiers got back from Iraq but I had given up on ever hearing from him before he goes to Ft Bragg for training. BE STILL MY HEART
We spent two of theeeeeeee most romantic hours together .. just talking & walking in the park .. stopping to kiss  .
He left the next morning for 3 weeks, but when he gets back we have 2 months together before he leaves for SF training.
Perhaps he will change his mind AGAIN and stay in touch when he goes to NC .. that's all I can pray for. It was everything I wished it would be for a first meet .. |

Oh Tanya thank you so much! Even if all I had was that it was worth it but he has 2 mos here at Fort Carson before going back to Fort Bragg .. I'm hoping that 2 mos changes his mind to stay in touch when he goes there .. *sigh* I know once he is deployed on Special Forces he won't be able to keep in touch, but we have all his training time dang it.
