I don't believe in picking out someone for anything, whether racial, social class, state their from, or whatever the case may be.

Do you jump around certain social classes testing the "water" so to speak, or stick to a certain one?

<--Wears teflon covering. Nonstick.

Hm... social class is really a very broad idea. I never really thought that I cared about it until I got older.

I have dated several people in a so called "different" social class than myself. And, although the initial attraction I felt was intense and passionate - all that good stuff - after a while, I found myself wanting to be with someone that I had more in common with. And I think that, to some extent, that means the same social arena. Is it derogatory... I don't think so. However you define social status. I have many friends that fit into all sorts of demographics. And I love them all. But, I love the idea of meeting and being with someone who loves books and values intelligence and learning. Who would rather have a savings account than a case of beer every night.

Reading this, I sound like a snob, even to myself. But I don't think that holding strong to my personal values is the same as saying that I think that I'm better than anybody else... or worse than anybody else, either.

No, not the band...but they are good as well. What is a particular social class you date, and why? Do you jump around certain social classes testing the "water" so to speak, or stick to a certain one?

Personally I don't care, I date anyone as long as they are upfront with who they are and what they are. I catch a lie, all up in flames...not that it would have mattered cause chances are they didn't like my views anyway.smokin

I haven't dated anyone in this town so it's really easy to describe. Ever seen my fair lady? It's like that here, before she learned anything about social graces, and that's the norm.

Geeks who are into rock music, movie buffs .... that stuff gives me a lot to talk about. Otherwise its very difficult to sustain a conversation that lasts longer than 5 mins
