wow, knowing that there are those out there without power and heat...makes me feel guilty. (for complaining about my failed dryer delivery) idk how you can be expected to go without electricity for a week...Id be lost. i wish i had a house with a cozy fireplace. how would you eat? stay warm? omg...that would suck. my papa has a generator..God bless the houses with generators |

My brother lives in Louisville, KY. They don't have electric now from the ice. They won't get it for a week. That means no heat or hot water. And it's cold there!  I know! He already had planned to come back home this weekend for a visit and is trying to get his work to let him leave sooner. The ice caused a few branches of one of his trees to break and land on a neighbor's electrical wires. The wires broke. He has to pay for that now. But..even if they didn't break, there is no electric.

yup....but something is better than nothing..
hopefully they can provide some heat and ways to warm food. wowzers.,..i mean I would truly be unprepared for a major storm like that. I have a kerosene heater in the garage..that probably would not last for very long |

I have a kerosene heater in the garage..that probably would not last for very long I would be far from prepared.  It happened in St. Louis a couple of years ago. I got lucky. The people across the street did not. That was wild for me to have lights and heat and they didn't. It took about a week for our city to get electric again too.

My child had school today but I didn't take them. It's getting slushy out there now. We reached 35 degrees. I do wonder how it'll be in the morning when it all freezes up again during the night. |

I do wonder how it'll be in the morning when it all freezes up again during the night. ya i think the roads are gonna be a bit risky for a few days...idk. those big buses seem dangerous. I hope they at least have a two hour delay in the am...so that traffic so that normal work traffic wont be as bad when the buses are out. |

I take the highway but that's not the problem. It's my street. |

Dam A/C is running!!!!Dam 80 degree weather! These dam winters are murder!!!! Makes me not want to out! The pool is cold! I think I will just make some coco!!!
