when looking to initiate a conversation please read the profile or respond to a direct forum topic is also good ground some people take the time to put information into the profile to avoid having to ask those mundane questions..... if I wanted to go over the same inane chatter over and over I would not have a profile at all.. unless of course I turned sideways.......... ..the thing is I don't approach someone because I think they look appealing...there has to be an area of interest... a reason for me to barge my nose into their little world other than..hey your human what types of things do you like? anyway back to real life....... |

I was on a site once -- a pay site, actually -- this was way way back in 2006 -- where I would get e-mails every day, from locals, and half of them would ask me to go meet them at a nearby bar that same evening. I just wrote back and said, "You need to read my profile." And THAT profile was only a few paragraphs long. Asking people to read is like asking them to take a feather duster and kill a crocodile with it. |

I read profiles unless they are as long as a friggin book or riddled with retarded remarks and smiley faces. Then again, I don't message those people so meh.
