Afoot in the snow, sliding on icy sidewalks, being cautious to walk always with careful steps and balance, I am going to the market.

Along the way, I might wolf a burger and fries, at BK.

It's 12 degrees. At least it is above zero.

And I want an ice cream bar.

A productive walk. 4 blocks to the top of the overpass, and the view was great, then walk back and the 3/4 mile to the market.
The walk going there was cold. After shopping, and packing everything in the backpack, the walk back was good.
1600 steps from market to home. Crunch crunch crunch crunch. (Counting steps makes it all go quickly, and keeps momentum even.)
Not snow. Too cold for too long for any snow to be left. It's just different kinds of ice with the moisture sucked out of it. Mostly good sticky footing, except where traffic has pounded it into black ice.
Good little hike.
Saved over $13 on my Carrs/Safeway card. Packed home $67 in soups, fruit, munchies and Coke.
I feel good.
What other nut hikes around at 3:30 A.M. to get his shopping done? The supermarket was all mine!!!
