I sit here in the dark
wishing to see your face
to hear your laughter
to see your light

I know you are gone now
but I still feel you here
I smell your scent
and hear your voice
singing your songs
of beauty and life

I don't know why I am here
and you are not...
So many close calls with death
the reaper at my door
and God protected me
and
here I stand
feeling so desolate and poor

If I could trade places with you
I would in a second
If I could change that fateful day
Things would be so different

This pain wouldn't be here
this hole in my heart
wouldn't exist

Everyone keeps saying not to be sad
That god had a plan
and
When your number is up
You don't have a choice

My head knows you are an Angel
No pain and no regrets
You lived for the day
spontaneous,
nothing to fret
You lifted us up, those you loved
and the ones that loved you back
Lifting your voice
Writing your songs
Touching us with poetry
Living your life

Now you are free
to spread your wings
Your dreams arent dead
They live within
us, your friends and family
left behind

We will try to smile
you wouldn't have it any other way
so with each sunrise
with you by my side

I know how you feel. I lost my son he was born on 8-3-83. and past away on 8-19-83.

You will never forget. At least you have memories that no one can take away from you. Keep them close to your heart.

I, SCG, just wrote this off the top of my head as I am grieving...I lost someone that I loved dearly and deeply and was going to be my future daughter-n-law.
Everything I write is original and my words alone...

If it took tears to get you through the gates of heaven.
Then we know your with our lord today.
Because all your family and friends our still crying for you.
May you feel the peace and love of GOD'S home.

Wanda my heart goes out to you and your family as well as Maegan's family. I wish I had the words to make things right but I don't. Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things in life to go through and twice as hard when they are so young and have not even had the time to experience so many things.
