The last date I almost had is the most memorable. A girl who worked at the restaurant I go to every night passed away from cancer a year ago July. Before she passed away I found out that she just wanted to be married if even just for a day. She was a lot younger than I and the sweetest girl I had ever known. She had no enemies and not a mean bone in her body. I was going to ask her to marry me so she would be married for at least the one day, but she succumbed to that dreaded disease before I could ask her. Her parents have become my best friends and in the Spring they are moving to Oregon to be with their other daughter so I will be losing them as well, but I will see them now and then when I visit and their daughter will always be with me!

the last date I went on was one to keep for a laugh. Went out to one of the nicer places in town, Finnegan's Wake (now closed...more's the pity). She ordered a salad, bread and whatnot, as I got me a steak. Steakhouse=me eating steak. The food comes, and she looks at me like you wouldn't believe. Says to me "You really aren't ging to eat that. are you?" ,so I say 'Yeah, I paid for it didn't I?"...aawww hell...ends up this girl is a full fledged nutcase for PETA...and I keep a Winchester 30-30 in the back seat of my truck... just in case I see the BIGBOY on the way home from work. She went to squalling about 'poor Bessie the beef-cow' while I figured what the hell, might as well enjoy the night. One steak and about three or four Killian's later, she finally got the hint that she wasn't converting a lifelong hunter (and lifetime NRA) to eating rabbit food for the rest of my life. Damn that was a good steak. It seems that would have come up in conversation BEFORE the first date.... That's what I was thinking. Also, taking a non meat eater to a steakhouse for first date? Interesting. |

I kinda figured the stickers on my truck, the camo in the back and the rifle sitting there would be a good clue that I hunt.

my last date was my most uneventful but the most fun ive had in a long time. we ended up just driving for hours and stopping at various favorite places to show one another. we had started with a plan for the evening but ended up just laughing all night and getting to know one another....i felt like a teenager again except we stayed out til like six am lol
im a cheap date what can a say?

So, my last date was last week. We met at a pool hall and played a few games. Had a little dinner at the bar, then played a couple more games. Got along ok, though he drank too much, talked about his ex constantly and hit on the bartender after drinking too much.

New Years Eve .. had a great time. Little bar named Broadway. Live band, pool, beer and my ex BF along with other couples.
The bar handed out hats for the guys, tiaras for the chicas, horns and champagne for NYE celebration. I actually had a blast. I was told how much I was loved and ya uhhh some TMI 'stuff'
