I was thinking of handmaking my own cards also ... but I was wondering if I sent them out would people be offended or think I was to cheap to purchase a card?

No, I think it is a cute idea...

**If you are concerned about the cost, many of us are sending the little cards we sent as kids. You will just need to re-envelope them into standard size envelopes as the small ones they come with do not make the trip through the machines at that post office that well**

We had a lot of fun with the Christmas Card exchange. People met folks they might not have met otherwise and friendships were formed. It was truly amazing and so much fun. You'll see...you won't be able to help the big fat smile on your face when your cards starting coming in!!

OK I just want to clear something up.
You can send the small envelopes through the mail they will be ok going through the machines.
We get small wedding invites all the time and dont have a problem with them.

Is there going to be a cut of day and a final list posted?

This means the life skill of organization has to be practiced. bigsmile

Gonna run it the same way I did the Christmas Card Exchange, right up to the holiday itself.

I'm starting this a bit early to give everyone who wants to participate an opportunity to purchase their cards and get them out in the mail.

This is on the same basis as the Christmas Card Exchange. If you'd like to exchange Valentine Cards just indicate here that you do. I will keep a running list of who's participating. Indicate you want to exchange cards and start sending your snail mail address, via e-mail here, to the folks on that list, any or all of them. Don't wait for folks to contact you, just jump right in.

*Note* You may not receive a card from everyone you send your address to, no one is under any obligation to send to everyone on the list, just send within your comfort zone.

** If you just leave a comment here and do not specifically state you want to participate, it will be assumed that you are not participating.**

When you receive a card, come back here and let us know!

**NOTE** Folks are asking about using the little cards that we used as kids, this is fine and actually a cute idea, but you will need to re-envelope them into regular size envelopes as the small envelopes they come with jam up the post office machines. A box of standard envelopes costs $1.00 at the Dollar Store/Walmart.***
