That actually is not true at all. Your stomach acid will chew through metal if given the chance. Do you really think a piece of chewing gum is lasting 48 hours in your gut? :tongue:

yeah i never thought it was true cuz i'm an avid chewing gum chewer as i think bad breath is a crime...and i've been swallowing it for the last 40 yrs with no ill effects...

yeah i never thought it was true cuz i'm an avid chewing gum chewer as i think bad breath is a crime...and i've been swallowing it for the last 40 yrs with no ill effects...


I dont think its bad for you simply because it disolves. You probably should not be eating gobs of it though. That might upset your stomach. The problem with gum is it actually fools your stomach into thinking you are eating food and causes it to produce stomach acid as if you were.
