Folks already know for me, it's not a matter of writing skills, but rather the words themselves... attitude.
in an online world, we have no choice but to judge by words. and i've found that there are VERY few people who can get across humour, wit, and sarcasm, just through writing (with no gesticulations and/or facial expressions). most folk come across as being rude and insulting in my opinion, even with the use of smileys. i TRY to let people show themselves over time, as i've been wrong about my judgements in the past. as an example, i know that my personal writing style comes across as being uppity, snobby, and terse but, in real life (and even in private email) i'm actually quite different. |

Yes, I agree, it is difficult sometimes here with the written word to convey what you're actually trying to get across...sometimes to the point of frustration for me. I find I am also different in e-mail, maybe because it's one-to-one and I am not speaking to an "audience' so to speak. I too have made judgments and later found I was incorrect. Sometimes I think it depends on the topic at hand and how passionately, or not so much, someone feels about it...and then in another thread they show a completely different side to them. |

whats with this leaugue thing.. either people like me and I them or they don't or I don't I don't think someone is better then me. Or that I am better then them... acceptance of all, I say let their actions speak for themselves and define who they are.... Were it a perfect world.... |

Do find that, either through their pics or from forum posts, that you hesitate to contact folks you might be attracted to because you feel they're just out of your league and they probably wouldn't respond anyway?
Of course. I'd be lying if I said otherwise (that is, IF I were in this circumstance). It doesn't matter (for me) if it's on a social site such as this, or in the real world, because plenty of experience has told me many things about such women. |

No. If I am interested in someone on this site, I will send them a brief message to break the ice. For the most part I am only here to debate or discuss various issues on forum. I need to observe their comments and remarks for a fair amount of time so that I can begin to develop a sense of their overall intelligence, background, interests, or political leanings. I generally find that the men who initiate contact with me have done the same thing and were interested in my point of view on several topics before they decided to send a message. |

Yeah, I think more people do this than are willing to admit. I understand all about not wanting to believe there are 'leagues' or that people place themselves in different class than others, but unfortunately, that's not reality. At the end of the day I guess we all take our britches off the same way, mine just cost a lot less. |

The reality is that some people THINK they are better than others, but that is just thier delusion.
