George MacDonald (Victorian author and poet) said, "To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved."

Do you agree?

You can't love someone that you don't trust.

That's not true. I can love family members and care for their well being... doesn't mean I have to trust them.

So yes, I have to agree, it is a greater compliment to trust someone than to love them.

And yet... there are those who will love without trust, just to "say" they are in love. I'm not judging, but it makes me sad. I too think the greatest compliment is trust and do not think love can be had without it.
