How many of you have had relationships destroyed because this site will not delete your details and keep sending Mutual connections still after 6 months

I don't know about relationships being destroyed. But it would be nice to have the option to either delete your account or deactivate.

Humm well everyone has the option to go to my account then settings then mail settings uncheck all the boxes and click update when they do deactivate. If they do these things they will not receive any e-mail from the site. This has been stated many times in Feedback and the help section. The site can not be blamed if one does not do what should be done in the process of deactivating.noway

the only thing that could 'destroy' my relationship is either me or my partner. it isn't the outside influences that ruin it, but rather the way in which we deal with them.

i sort of like the 'deactivate' feature. it allows for a 'cooling off' period without having to come back with yet another new profile name.

Actually that is the reason it is set up like it is this way a member if they choose to come back later can in fact still have access to their old screen name and don't have to go through all the signing up again.

You can stop all the e-mails ect that comes from the site but each memember must do that on their own within the process of deactivating.

on another site, you should have seen the number of incarnations of some profilers. i am not exaggerating when i say a half a dozen in less than a month in some cases noway

Hmmm.... how about you take this whole debacle to email... to the owners of the site and ask them....

this is getting suspiciously like a bug up a butt...

and if the other party/partner is so fickle that a profile on a site is threatening.... you are better off without them...imagine what affect the mailman would have... he calls round every day!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get emails from the site..I clicked that off a looooong time ago......and you can take all your info out of your profile....(in case you don't want people knowing you like to play Marco Polo... )

you can always deactivate your account. an I never get email from here, I unclicked that box when I first signed up.
So just go to your settings and take care of business. An if a partner is so insecure about a site like this, then they are not secure in the relationship in the first place.

Okay this is the third thread today I have seen with this theme. Me thinks you have an ax to grind with admin.. I don't think that anything we post is going to make a dent in your agenda. So therefore my advice is to contact admin and take it up with him or a moderator.
Forum users I don't think can help you.
