My brother in law is of the Vietnam era and is still in touch with his buddies. Hard to believe he is still having nightmares and a hard time after all these years. I hope we have learned as leson well. I know I have, though even as a youngster I had respect.

Me too. I have many friends I still stay in contact with.

I am beginning to think that is very important. I hope our young people will do that as well.

Thank you, but there is no greater force I would have protect me than our men and women of all the United Stated forces. If feeding a few is all I can do, then I am most happy doing it.

Thank you for doing that. There is nothing like a home cooked meal when you are in the military.

I have had the pleasure of having some of the young men here for homecooked meals and when they were coming home, they dropped several hints. So I have very happly to oblige with homecooked meals. It was the least I could do for them.

That was really nice of you.

Can I stand in line too. I don't cook for myself anymore. I mostly nuke it. Then eat it while I am on the computer so I don't have to be alone.

Sure you can. love to cook when I have people who enjoy it.

Sounds great what are we having for dinner?drool

I have a small place and try to keep a safe haven here. We not only eat, but watch movies and play board games. Anything to keep them from getting too homesick.

Nuking HG, smells great! Will be just a couple of minutes.

I can't help cooking July, I take stuff to my mom all the time, Ricks meals on wheels.

Just a few more seconds HG.............

Leftovers are good too! Latte would share if I let her. But I agree with HG, eating alone all the time stinks.

Come sit down HG, you dinner is ready. Miller Lite, or wine?
