“Is Love Lost?”

As we awake each new day.
And look out across the way.
Do we really see?
How life is going to be.

Or does life go so fast?
And we don’t expect things to last.
Seems no matter what it is.
Or what another says.

We don’t take the time we should.
And do all that we could.
We expect to much.
And forget what it is to touch.

Another’s person or relate to them.
And we leave them in mayhem.
Is this what life has come down to?
Alone, therefore we no longer need to pursue.

Another for they will only leave you in dismay.
Why is it that most can not just come out and say?
What is within their heart and soul?
Can they no longer take control?

Of their thoughts and speak there mind.
Have we really become that blind?
Have we fallen that far out of the loop?
Maybe it is time we all sit back and regroup.

As they say life is way too short.
At times we must look back and resort.
To what we have learned and what we know.
And go back to the way love was long time ago.

We see nothing. We know nothing. We should always assume that the day we wake up is our last day and get all we can out of it. This is a beautiful piece. Very reflective, very calming. You need to write more Missy! I so enjoy reading you~
