Relationships.... Can they work? What if it's not possible to see each other that much. I'm only talking 2 hrs but still.. What's your take on em?

A two hour drive is not bad if she's worth driving it.
In general, I would avoid big distances. Unless of course.. it's worth it. |

I know for me it would be really hard as I think spending time with one another is the only way one can really build a solid foundation as friends, and as well all know friendship is the foundation to all.

Some say yes, some say no. I will have nothing to do with a LDR, for me a relationship has to be physical, pen pals don't cut it for me!!

I believe they can work but it takes a lot of effort from both...there not for everyone.

Two hours? That is NOT a long distance relationship!
People drive farther to see a football game....imagine the excitement of meeting each other in wonderful places! Imagine spending a wonderful weekend at each other's place. |

We Americans are so spoiled. Such a shame and wonder why we can't find "love."

I checked into profiles to see where the 'too far' people lived...mostly eastern and midwestern states, as I suspected. Having lived on both sides of the country I recognize that westerners (primarily) think of several hours as 'the next town worth stopping at' so it's not such a big deal.
I've even driven 3.5 hours to work each week (I stay for 3 days) since March - ugh! But it's not that big of a deal in my area. 2 hours to see a sweetie would be, well...SWEET! |

Trust me...2 hours is not an issue...just make it happen if you feel she is worth it.

I would not consider 2 hrs distance far. To me a LDR is someone that lives 4-5 hrs away or further.
I tried a LDR once, it did not work. I want to be able to see the person on a regular basis...you now like more than once a week. Otherwise for me, I would not consider that a relationsip worth getting into. For some people LDR's work, for me I know it doesn't. JMO |

Of course it is difficult, but he makes my life so worthwhile that until we can be together for good, this will have to do.
Oh.....NY and Idaho |

i had a very long distance relationship for about a year with a guy that lived approximately 5 STATES away from me. we talked non stop everyday... we didn't see each other that much (of course) but on holidays and summer we'd go visit each other for weeks at a time.
we had a very great relationship and neither of us were unfaithful... but he was killed. RIP ... so as far as i know it CAN work. i wouldn't do it again though... just because i prefer being able to see my man a lot more. |

if the two really want it, it can work
