When did dating turn to coffee or a walk..........?
I used to run an add in a local newspaper, until i had the internet, no such thing as a drink or a walk......? **** I'll bring coupons, or pay for that matter. What happened to the good ole' days? I miss them  No phone calls, or written love notes, ........Now it's email! Which feels so cold and dirty.......lol. |

I for one got tired of women saying 'You can't buy me'
So hey if I take you for a cup of coffee we can communicate and there is no danger of you thinkin I will expect something for my expense. I'll save the romantic dinner for when there is romance. Till then its just get to know me dates. And a walk upon a trail in nature beats fancy food any day. |

I miss the old days too, but gotten used to the coffee "date", at least
it gives you chance to get to know the other person, then you decide whether you will continue to see them or not. |

I still prefer talking on the phone or in person if possible rather than
over the net. |

I never understood why a man would EVER think he's OWED something
because he paid for a date. HE asked HER out; he SHOULD pay for it and not expect a THING, except the pleasure of her company. If he cannot afford to take her out, he shouldn't be asking her to go out with him.

EMAILs,,,,I am one to CALL before we could ever get to THAT,,it would be by asking her on the phone.....   But THATS just me....

I totally agree with you... However I hear women worring about that all the time. Makes a man real cautious as to what he does. We can even get put in jail for asking for a date now days. Makes it kinda hard to break the ice. |
