ok so i just had a guy i met on here who lives in a different state than i do, say to me....i really wish i could call you i really like you i just hate being single...i told him i know how he feels i dont like being single either...then he said i think we could make this work i would travel to see you it might be hard at first but i would do it...THEN>>>>> i put my life on the line for this country just so you know.... OMG are you serious....your trying to make me feel sorry for you because your in the Army??? dont get me wrong i respect each and every man and woman that is in the army and i thank them for what they are doing...my brother is in iraq right now and i miss him dearly ...however, you cant use that line on me to get me to date you it just makes me feel like you want me to feel sorry for you...i am not going to date someone because i feel sorry for them..so after that conversation i told him that that line probably wont work on many women and he hasnt talked to me since...??? did i say something wrong?

LOL. Usually Army guys only use the Army sympathy trying to get laid. I've seen it work sooo many times as long as the city you are in isn't near a military base. That's also probably why you didn't hear from him again. You told him it wasn't gonna work so he moved on. I'm just an honest person though, that's just how some guys are.

lots of guys in the military use the fact that they are in the military to "pick up" women...and it isn't right to play with a woman's emotions like that...just cuz they are in the military does not make them gentlemen...i think women need to be very careful regarding men in the military ...also i think our country as a whole has got to stop thinking that just because a man or woman is in the military they are an automatic "hero"...be seeing you
