Given noone knows how to define love, I say it is overrated! "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves." -- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is that really the right definition? I think not.. Hey! I thought that was YOU I saw in the corner with the Dunce Cap on!  I don't think love is overrated, but moreso overstated these days. Folks love the *idea* of love more than they do the person their professing their love to. If that makes sense...

Do you think that love is over rated these days? Who needs that word,,,lets just make babies and have twenty lovers a week and live together in a vacant house. Have the chicks pan-handle money for our beer and drugs. Then we can rap to teenagers all day about how cool life is and talk them into leaving their homes to follow our way of life...THEN, after about twenty more years, we will all be dead from a new DISEASE that kills everyone who has sex. Or kisses, or even comes into contact with the other..... Yes,,this Love thing is WAYYYYYY over rated...

For me, true love is being willing to say you are sorry when you are clearly wrong. Admit it, we ALL "f" up from time to time. How willing you are to admit it AND apologize for it shows your true sense of love for another. |
