There are easier ways to hack you. I hate Adobe, but if you have decided that you need Adobe Flash, then go ahead and let it. It's not going to make any difference.
Every piece of software is being currently redesigned in order for it to constantly need the internet. Adobe is evil, but it is only one of many. Don't worry. Let it install the damned Active X. |

ActiveX isn't what is going to crash your computer....ActiveX that can't be registered or traced, just might. If it has a certificate, then it is probably OK.
