I really like the three strike rule, you commit three felonies and you go to jail for life. The only thing is why should are tax dollars go to feeding and housing some one who can no longer live in normal society. When we have this GREAT thing called the death pelinny. I know some of you may say "thats unconstitutional". But why should they get that "Right" when they have been living out side the law. I don't know how other Stats are doing but Oregon can't keep as many beds open in the jails to hold all this people. Yes, it should be more define then just three felonies. I'm talking about violate and/or drug felonies. Just so you know I have on felony on my recordtearsslaphead. So what to you all think of this???what

No offence taken. I am a person, who if believes in something, will fight for or advocate for rights. If I see injustice I will fight against it....sometimes things change and sometimes they dont unfortunately.

I can see that, so em I. I just feel that we are to soft on people have total disregard of others even after they are given help. And I've been thinking about this and I've thought of a other solution, we give them the option of leaving the country with no return. Hows that?

Depending on the crime, why should criminals be given two more chances to do the same wrong thing again? If they have committed a heinous{sp} crime, then put them in jail and keep them there.

I personally feel if someone commits three violent felonies they deserve to be in jail for life. Life would mean life.

Forget all the rehabilitation baloney and provideing them all the perks so they can get out and make more money and have more access to do more damageing crimes.

I guess maybe I don't understand the costs but I think some how the prisons cost way more than they need to; to operate and somebody is getting some major overpayments.

For the really violent offenders, especially crimes against children, I would take the old ships out of the channels and anchor them out to sea and put them on them. Air drop survival rations and let them deal with each the best way they can.

But why should we pay for that? Why shouldn't we just speed up the process

Depends on the crime; a drug dealer shouldn't be put to death over a murderer or rapist, should theyspock

A drug dealer? I don't think so. A murderer and especially a rapist possibly. Unfortunately our justice system is laiden with beurocracy. Many things get looked over. There is countless thousands of dollars going into just having people stand trial. Our own human rights can cause a conflict with death penalties and has numerous times. Its like this... what do we do with the prisoners at GITMO? They havent been put to death, and some of them are responsible for thousands of deaths. So should we kill one person for killing another? This is undoubtedly a touchy subject ..

One of my old friends over dosed last week on heroin and died. I think the drug dealer should be charged in his death. Why should he get off scott free when they are selling such terrible things?

What you are proposing is economic hemmorraging beyond belief. noway

Are you aware of the costs for a person sentenced to life in prison versus a person sentenced to death row?

I do think that dealer should be charged with murder. A drunk driver gets charged with man slaughter or murder when they kill someone in a vehicular accident.

The average cost of one year on death row coud house five other people for a year.
