In a profile under the pic it says " Instant Message"....Push on that and wait for the person to accept

This system doesn't seem to work terribly well as it is, though. Often it won't work at all when I try to respond to an IM.
It's on a person's profile, one of SIX tabs, I think around their main pic. It may not show if they disabled it, though. I don't know! UPDATE: Like MsCarmen, she disabled it so there are only 5 tabs, no option for IM. |

I have it disabled too but my understanding is that it doesn't show the option if the person isn't online or if they have it disabled.
If it says they are online and you don't see the option, I'd say they have it disabled. |
