When it's this cold outside, I don't even bother wearing my leather. It cuts the wind, but it doesn't keep out the cold. You should have a fur lining put in it....makes it really nice Right now, I'd just be happy to have it get a good dry-cleaning. It stinks of stale cigarette smoke. Try spraying it with "Fabreze"; works to take dog smell out of couch's. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather pay and have it dry cleaned. I don't really care for the idea of spraying anything on my leather, especially considering how much I paid for it. Hell, I won't even wear it in the rain.

My last dog died last spring. Just passing on some knowledge. I really miss my girls, had dogs for the past 25+ years. Still think I hear them once in awhile. Besides, don't have a couch, since I moved. Need to start looking for one, it will prob. be "leather".

I meant, spray the lining, a good saddle soaping of the actual leather, will take the smell out of it. Used to do saddles when I had horses, about every 3 months I would spend a day cleaning all the saddles.

Yeah, the lining is an entirely different thing (I need to get a pocket stitched on the inside, too). I might try the saddle soap thing.

Takes alot of elbow grease, but it is GREAT for the leather. Takes some of the stiffness out of the leather, also.

leather ... I asked for a leather coat once when I was a teenager and my Mom joked that there wasn't a cow big enough. I've never ever wanted a leather coat since then. I've worn the same cotton black zip-up hoodie for the past 4years.
