You forgot about "They" threads of paranoia. "They" are always out to conspire against us. "They" have never been positively identified and are often confused with "Elvis" threads. The "We think" threads, when there is no we (tinw). The "WTF" and "WTH" threads, usually used to express all of the feelings the Fword threads are capable of. And then there's the "Thread" threads. Oh, that's us. here. now.  "They" have left the building ..

In all seriousness. I have moderated over forums for years now. The one thing i see, is exactly what Judy is asking. If you are here to find a potential date/mate/lover...whatever..the "what about nice guy" thing just doesn't work..I know, i have watched it a thousand times. People who are looking for partners..Now think about this...I know i don't want to hear about your boredom, your failures, your insecurities....Nobody wants to hear that. They want to see upbeat people. Folks that know how to laugh and have a good time. Anything else is a downer to the crowd. There is a huge difference between asking for advice, or pity me.... |

this place seems to be going through a winey trend. i personally dont mind it, and can ignore it but man... i think some users are just becoming downright mean. maybe its just me, but its like they post in the new members forum and get torn to pieces by some of the more seasoned members. makes me feel bad for em. they never stood a chance and i think it is greatly hindering the growth of this site. I thought the welcome New Members was suppose to be "Welcome" and the "Rate Me" well you ask for it... you get it; but keep it about the profile. I don't get being mean. Things are better than they were for a while. I don't get the competion. Enough people for everybody. Well if like you said some don't keep hindering new people from joining in. |
