Someone emails a couple times you respond and then realize they are not
your type? I'm having a hard time with this. |

the easiest way i found to just start out friendly & honest. i figure
not every guy is gonna be my future soulmate but i can always use more acquaintances and friends. i just let them know i am not available emotionally and that makes it platonic by default. no one's feelings are hurt too bad, they appreciate the honesty and you both can move on. |

Yes I'm having a problem with it too.
I don't want to hurt anyones feelings. Not sure how to be polite and say I'm not interested-all together like that. Sometimes even trying to be someones friend is hard when you just don't hit it off. I usually can tell its not for me-after a little while. Guess we have some we just aren't able to be friends with. |

Just tell them you enjoy talking to them but at the time all your
looking for is friends. Most of the times after you tell them that phoof there gone unless they really would like to have ya as a friend. Mainly is be honest with them.

Be honest! No one wants to be lied to or mislead.
Nothing wrong with telling someone you like them as a friend. Telling them something else, to make it easier on yourself is not right. In the long run, they will appreciate your honesty and you may gain a great friend. |

interest on my part. Depending on what he writes, I'll either say, "Thanks, but I'm not interested," or sometimes just ignore him. All depends. |

The perv's and the creepy one's I don't even answer, or the cut and paste love letter's where they fill in your name....delete and block when they IM. If you like them as a friend and would like to keep them as a friend, just let them know that, and wish them luck on JSH. Hun, I don't think there is any other way to tell someone that is interested in you that it's not mutual, other than just telling them. Do you want to keep them as a friend? |
