According to the group, its members used rocket-propelled grenades to attack 12 Internet cafes and a number of music shops in different parts of the Gaza Strip.

In a world full of news thats all many people have focused on, meanwhile there are hundreds of cats trapped in things that are being rescued, little girls being sold for marriage over beer, and an insane amount of conspiracy theories, and least we forget the Ron Paul nut jobs that saturate the current events.

The idea of marrying for love and the freedom to do so is actually a fairly recent development. All over the world women are treated as chattel and exchanged for favors, goods and social position.
There's nothing new or even shocking about it. Do I find it offensive and sad...sure...but change comes slow. How do you change things? Maybe one important step is to educate young women. To nurture their self worth as thinking, valuable and independent human beings. We also need to do the same for our young men. Teach them to respect the women in their lives. Then maybe things will change. Oh and didn't you get the memo? If you embrace certain political positions you are allowed to bait and insult without consequence? |
