It's been done to me. Here's what's even more messed up... So it's been about two weeks since she cut off all communication. I've tried calling numerous times, the I finally just gave up. So it's about 2am on a tuesday night and I get a phone call. It's her. Or so I thought. It was actually her friend calling on her phone. Becky didn't want to talk to me directly, so she had her friend do that talking. And what, pray tell, did she want? She was wondering if I could go and bring them ALL (all being becky, her friend, and my former best friend) some food because they were partying and are now hungry. Nice huh? wow, and i thought i knew some really awful people.

I certainly hope not, that just screams doormat. If my ex did that to me... I would say "sure, I'll be right there" and I would show up, kick him in the balls, and go home and back to bed.

I've had it done to me. The girl even had the audacity to put me down on a resume as a reference two years later. So I get this call asking me about my fake work relationship with this girl we'll call "Vicky".
So I get the call from the Coast Guard Academy asking me about it. I ask "well what did she put down so I don't tell you what you already know?" "Well it says here that you were her manager at (retail store) and that she received three employee commendations." That's where I decided to have some fun. "Did she say commendations? I think she meant condemnations. Vicky showed up late to work constantly, and we eventually had to let her go because she was stealing and drinking on the clock." Maybe I was bitter because she led me on and used me quite a bit, and maybe after two years I should have gotten over it, but dammit if I didn't feel good after that. Just desserts. |

i had an ex start acting like my ex wife,, and that soured me right then. i got real quiet,, wouldnt go near her,, and when we left the spot we were at i cut off all contact with her. wouldnt take her phone calls, if she called me at work i would hang up on her,, if she tried to call my house i had people tell her i had moved,, and i wound up changing my phone number so i didnt have to deal with her,,, if ya cant tell i cant stand my ex wife,, and if a woman reminds me of her i run like i got a steak hanging off my ass and a pack of rabid pitbulls chasing me

Just so you know, you can get sued for doing that. Are you talking to me? I never worked with "Vicky", she put me as a reference because she didn't have any, so if she sues me then I don't think she has a case. |

... I've had it done to me just once, ironically by the very woman I fell in love with HARD; I can't even begin to describe how much it hurt. It did nothing for closure, it only fostered a wide variety of feelings and thoughts, none of which were healthy, and ended with me turning this person off in my heart, something I never wanted in the first place. I will never do that to someone else ~ it's rude, insensitive, dismissive, childish and painful.
