Exactly, "superiority" really can't be established on the basis of one
isolated instance, be it man vs. mosquito, or man vs. shark.

someone might find a pill for a living organism that might kill us but
that doesn't mean that the organism isn't going to evolve into something
stronger. Something that we might not beable to fight off and at the end
we are a destroyed organism...like i keep saying...sharks, bacteria,
humans or anything else..we are all equally superior in our own way.

The very notion that 'humans' can entertain this 'DISTORTED THOUGHT'
that they might be superior, almost as a matter of fact, without
questionning, IS the 'curse' of this illusion-fabricating primate we
are.

While raising the question is very interesting Redykeulous, the notion
itself of being superior is so indicative of how primitive we are as a
species.

FEAR is what raises the notion of 'superiority', nothing else. This
fight or flight instinct, from this primitive brain we share with all
primates, is where the notion of fear comes from, when 'observed' by
our 'observing' neo-cortex).

Evolution had this primate we are, develop this neo-cortex (the other
brain with a VERY LIMITED ABILITY TO RATIONALIZE, THINK, AND JUDGE),
that's the only thing that distinguishes us form other primates. It is
IMO, a curse, much more than a blessing. This neo-cortex, with its very
limited consciousness (creates a whole lot of confusion), rationalizes
(decided) that fear must be avoided in order to be safe. Thus, it
'fabricated' this 'concept' and 'illusion' of 'superiority', providing
the superstition to most humans that we are 'safer' than other non human
species. "...look at all the 'stuff' we can make and do!!!"
Makes me tink of: "...LOOK 'MA, NO HANDS!!!

This pretentious illusion of a superior race has turned us into the
first ever species responsible for the extinction of millions of species
on this planet. Soon we might be right about our own imagined fear, and
extinct ourselves.

The sooner we use the little consciousness we have, to realize as the
large family of humans we are, that we are just here to be part of this
much bigger game. Much bigger than just the little 'superior' human race
'game'.

That this mystery of life itself, is just that, a mystery. How insane to
pretend that our delusional, self-fabricated superior 'powers' gives us
the code to crack the mystery. We're here as part of it, not as 'owners'
or 'partners' with some invented 'creator'.

PROFOUND HUMILITY, much more than this sense of delusional superiority,
is the antidote IMO, to our fears, suffering and hopeless
self-destructive tendencies.

Be in awe of this life you are a part of. As 'Abracadabra' mentionned
in another post: ... just respect whom and what you are in this life
time, NO MORE, AND NO LESS (I'm paraphrasing 'Abra'. Hope i'm on the
money).

As for the rest, IT will take care of itself.

The animal kingdom has shown many species that do feel selflessly...or,
to some extent.
Some species (in fact many, if you look it up), are all begun as
females. The male genes needed during whatever process is going on at
the time, gives them the ability to adapt to a variety of environments.
Some, even duplicate themselves without ever having a male...(I believe
this is an insect variety, though I forget the species).

I think nature itself is the ultimate thing. We are in no way superior
to an species, I feel. And, I also believe that humans have a long way
to go...
Think about the short amount of time we have evolved into sciences... as
compared to our length of time on the planet...

Ok, how are we defining "superiority".

If we're talking biological abilities- we're in the shallow part of the
gene pool- especially insofar as "predatory" species go.

If we're talking our ability to shape the world around us. We WIN-
hands down- we don't even have the slightest competition.

If we're talking value.... well.... a human life is more important to
me than any other organism I'VE ever met.



But, ultimately, we have souls. That's what truly seperates us. And if
you've ever met a true sociopath, you'd know what a "soul" truly means.
That's what we'd be without it.

Maybe one day this or some other planet will spring forth something
equal or superior to us. Hell, there's a pretty good chance we'll MAKE
whatever it is. But until that moment, we've proven our birthright as
masters of this world.

and yet...
mother nature may strike you down in a heartbeat...

I think we forget how insignificant we really are sometimes...

animals also have spirit. or, at least an energy that changes and
becomes part of the layered dimensions all around us...

To force a will upon, ar at another doesn't make us superior in any
way... it actually shows just how much fear is instilled into us.

So, we, like all things, die.

Our minds are ascendant, our souls divine, but our bodies are just
another animal. As any good master, we must know the feelings of our
servants. We share all the emotions of all the beasts. The thrill of the
hunt, the fear of being hunted. The flavor of flesh and of leaves. So on
and so forth.

We really are the one animal on earth that can know every feeling of
every animal.

our souls are not divine until we've mastered the lessons.
once we understand we are not superior to anything, then we can become
enlightened...and, even this is a journey.

Having the ability to kill, or destroy another is not superior.

when we become the blade of grass, and the dew upon it to drop into the

having the ability to commit an act of any kind, is an ability, not a

Our souls are divine by virtue of their origins. We can choose to sully
them. Or we can choose to refine them to something even greater. But
we're divine beings by virtue of having them. If they weren't, there
would be no crime in murder beyond that of destroying someone else's
property.

Of course, we shouldn't abuse our status. Abuse of power never ends
well. And mismanagement always results in harm. We have the power to
reshape the world to our will. And the responsibility to do it right.

My philosophy pursues unity. We're best when we truly unite our animal,
mental, and spiritual selves. To seek to deny or subvert our own nature
is not enlightenment, only dismemberment.
