 Have you ever lost your temper at work? Oh yeah.  Used to have a supervisor that was very unprofessional. She seemed to think it was a sorority instead of an office. She often took it very personally when I was too busy to chat with her. Then I'd either get called into her office for an impromtu "performance review" or get a snarky, snotty e-mail about my people skills. I was always very courteous and polite to her! I just didn't want to be her best friend. I blew up at her one afternoon, yelled "For God's sake would you just let me work in peace?!!" and ended up in her boss's office, explaining my outburst. Then she & I both ended up in a meeting with someone from HR. Thank God I'd saved all the e-mails she'd sent to me. The HR person warned my supervisor that she could be fired or sued (by me) for harrassment.  She transferred not too long after that.

Current jobs-not fully lost it, ppl would be in hospital....Jobs are too dangerous to play around at. Old jobs, yeah.

i am usually a cool cucumber.. but once in a blue moon the primadonnas i work with push me over the edge and they all know. i mean its ugly.

and I`ve always felt like crap after,.. I`m sure there is a much better way to handle conflict,.. I agree with you; I feel the same way. |

Yes I have, but it took a lot to get me there. I was written up for insubordination. What's so funny is that they fired me the one time I didn't loose my temper, and all I said was 'let me finish this'. They called that refusal to work and insubordination and fired me!
