WOW, best one yet! smokin drinks

Found an old video of Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark in a session at their mentor's, Lightnin' Hopkins', shack. Filmed in Lightnin's lil shotgun ghetto-row house in Houston, right off/on of West Grey St. The video doesn't tell you that, but I've been there many times. Trust.

Lightnin' lived there up until his death, rip. After, we printed up street signs that said "Lightnin' Hopkins Blvd", and plastered them over every West Grey intersection. Yeah, they didn't last long. :tongue: grumble

Lightnin' was also the idol of The Beatles, amongst loads-o-other English rockers/bluesmen.
OK, yeah, Americans too...:heart::tongue:

This shows Townes playing his first song. I'll set a trivia question on Guy's selection. Who wrote it? Later, Townes and Guy in the studio in session.

Choice, 24k, from the vault! Enjoy!!!smokin
