Does distance play a significant role in who you will date or even become friends with?

not in friendship, but yes in dating....distance is easier to do if you have a foundation previously

Never turn away friends due to distance.

Usually won't start a relationship with someone a great distance away.. but have had some turn into long distance things after we been dating.

Always tough. Whether you start it that way or having it turn into that.

Yes. If I want it to be anything substantial I need to be able to spend considerable time with the person. I do have friends that care for me on another site and some of them live rather far away. But, I have met many of them real life, or I have interacted with them on forums or by email for many years. So, we have the benefit of knowing each other in this way over time. Still, its not real till its real. I learned that lesson long ago.

Nope, doesn't make any difference to me. But it'll only work in a relationship if one person is willing to eventually relocate. I've done the LDR thing twice, and apparently it hasn't worked either time. lol

I use to think it would play a role for me but I've changed my mind a little.

Bloody hell, I can barely get the motivation to walk to the store across the street. So they have to impress me. A lot of people on internet dating seem to like to e-mail back and forth until you run out of things to say and it fizzles, it is a little hard to get them to come out and do something, even a cuppa joe. Dear Prudence won't you come to play?

Nice bike! I'm looking to get a chopper (actually a prostreet) sometime soon.

I know there isn't anyone local for me, but I don't like long distance things anymore. I will not uproot my child from my family for love. Just can't do it. Thats why I choose to be alone.

I choose to be alone; but only until I find who I'm looking for...or she finds me.

I think that if I was in a bigger city I would have a lot easier time finding someone local but being that I live in the middle of BFE it's a little hard.
