I don't think time zones mean to much around here. I think many of us find ourselves up at all hours cause we can't sleep and if it's late at night we wind up right here catching up on the reading. If we feel like posting we do. Many times I just read.

What a life!!!

I know - it would be great to have a day when I had something THRILLING to look forward to!

Try living a single life in a quiet western town where the streets are rolled up at nine and all the doors are locked. There is no night life out here.

well I am single in a town of thousands of people and no quality single men and the night life is mostly for the young kids or for couples...no safe place for older single women who are not for sale :o)

I've often wondered about that. It would seem to me living in the city would present many opportuinities to meet people. Even if it were just a friend you could go to dinner with every now and then.

I lived in the city for a while. I was just lonely with a lot more people around. frown frown

I can make friends with just about anyone. My recent trip to Seattle found me in a laundry mat for a couple hours and I'm sure most of the people wondered about me. I made conversation with almost everyone in there.

I kind of figured that about you. The problem is I have a bazillion (speaking in congressional numbers) conversations with lots of great people, but nothing seems to move past the acquaintance stage.

I don't think I'd know how to act anymore if things ever moved past the acquaintance stage. lol

or talk - I stay on these boards so I can remember how to talk to adults after being with kids all day.

OK Ron - first you take hold of her hand...

My days are spent in the homes of people who usually they themselves are out working. I spend the day without adult conversation and have none when I get home. I've often thought about looking for a room mate just to have some adult conversation.

It's the same here. Only thing open after 9 is a bar and a pizza place, that doesn't deliver. Sigh

that's EXACTLY right! I AM going to start a couple of activities that hopefully will expand my world though...

I am taking ballroom dancing lessons at the highschool here. The funny thing is, the only 'loose' male, is one of the instructors, and he is 6'7. I am 5'2. hahaha...but, I am learning the moves

I forgot about the bars. Yeah the couple we have here are open late along with the pizza place. IK don't do the bar scene, never have, and refuse to pay the price for pizza with the delivery charge. Besides a whole pizza by myself can add some pounds. Don't want them and don't need them.

I have lived here almost 3 yrs, and haven't seen the inside of the bar myself. Once a guy asked if I would enjoy being his..ummm friend and go for a few drinks first. laugh laugh laugh

what happen with the race today, did anyone see it?

Tony Stewart held off the hard charging Kyle Busch who tried his best to wreck Stewart on the last lap. I'm not a Stewart fan but as long as Busch don't win I don't care who wins.

Tomorrows race now I want Mark Martin to win.

If you're home you should watch. I have to run out for a couple hours in the morning somI may miss the pre race show but I should be home in time for the green flag.

OK - don't hate me - I don't understand watching racing on TV...the cars going in circles make me dizzy - but watching the pit crews is fun

It's like any sport. Once you understand it you're hooked. Pick a driver and follow him through the season.
