Oh yes thats quite true......... how about all the old couples when one dies the other follows right after that...................

i think it is possible to feel so alone that you just completly give up on living , your brain starts telling the rest of ur body to shut down, and no longer has the will to keep working

Probably not from the literal definition of being lonely...but it can sure lead to death in some other form.

It's not the lonliness that kills... it's the sadness and depression that can come along with it.

yes and its seen in its worst with infants..if a child cannot physically connect with some living human being(being held, touched, etc.) it will die...the human species cannot grow and develop without human contact and love

So do you think someone can really die from loneliness? If I were to die of loneliness, it would mean I lost someone really special. I should be so lucky to have lived a long life with that someone and have been that fortunate.

I know that babies can die from lack of love, so why couldn't someone die of loneliness? Failure to thrive is what they call it in babies. The problem is that we are never really lonely as long as we walk out of the door.
