(i decided to burn another and stay up for awhile lol) you'd be fun to blaze with & watch the Twilight Zone or it would be so much fun to get some other friends together and have a picnic & blaze < or not > by the river & then all of us could go hiking in the hills sounds awesome, the twilight zone is great to watch lol, it seems so in depth and mystical lol |

DHinkle, Some drugs, as you know, don't let you have a point of moderation. NA teaches that once you've quit drugs, you should quit all drugs/drinking. It lowers your resistance to your drug of choice. We taught that in the rehab too. i hear ya on that, but if i never did anything, i would end up goin straight back to the things i hate, believe me ive tried it, this last time i decided to quit all but weed, and ive been good since oct 15th!! Oct. 15 - that's great. |

Rapunzel, When people need to go to recovery, it's not about not finding moderation. They have an addiction - a disease. I understand that when you smoke, it helps your pain. It's 12 degrees where I'm at, btw. 12 degrees!!! and my roses are already blooming here (70f) I'm jealous. |

try tequila that will alter your mood Quiet, I've done all that stuff. It's not my way now. OK maybe it's not your way... Excellent good for you.... Why does that have to make you non friendly to another lifestyle? Here are copies of two of my posts. It will help explain me. I would like to add that I've attended Nar-Anon meetings and don't want drugs around me. I'm anti-drugs. I'm not closed minded. Been there, done that, grew up. Worked in a drug rehab. Have a person close to me in recovery. Went with them to NA and AA mtgs. I know a lot about it hence...I'm anti-drugs. If a person gets high by using drugs for escape, that person doesn't know who to deal with stress without it. They do not have the coping skills. They didn't mature emotionally. If someone gets high all the time from 10 yrs. old to 20 yrs. old, when they quit they have the maturity level of the 10 yr. old because they didn't deal with life on life's terms. You will hear them talk about this in the NA meetings. I also taught about it in the rehab. I'm glad I can wake up in the morning feeling good about a new life and know that I have a choice today on how I want to live my life. im glad that I am no longer spiritualy dead and now have morals and care about others. Im not against those people who use and their life is hell. I see it happen and can be grateful to see it because it keeps me clean. I have so much to say about this don't get me started or you will hear my lead. lol I hate breaking my anonymity but some things must be said. I talk to addicts everyday. Take them to meetings and they are grateful. I love to see hopeless dopefiends become dopeless hopefiends. Winx I break my anonymity sometimes and it makes no difference. What I said in this says nothing about anyone but me. I've been clean 4 years and proud of it. Im not 20 yrs old anymore and had used for a long time. I know what hard drugs are and 420 isn't anything that gave me a problem. If I pick it back up though it will lead me back to my drug of choice like any other mind altering substance. Nothing would be enough until I got my drug of choice. It makes no difference to me what anybody does. I have put no one down for it. It's there choice. If they can do it good for them. I have no problem with an active user. I like to talk to them it helps me remember where I don't want to be. I've started mtgs, gave leads, served in the program and helped a lot of people. |

The Grateful Dead Uncle John's Band Well the first days are the hardest days, Don't you worry any more, 'Cause when life looks like Easy Street, there is danger at your door. Think this through with me, let me know your mind. Woh - oh, what I want to know, is are you kind? It's a buck dancer's choice my friend; better take my advice. You know all the rules by now and the fire from ice. Will you come with me, won't you come with me? Woh - oh, what I want to know, will you come with me? Gosh darn, well I declare, have you seen the like? Their walls are built of cannonballs, their motto is Don't tread on me. Come hear Uncle John's Band playing To the tide, come with me, or go alone. It's the same story the crow told me; It's the only one he knows. Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go. Ain't no time to hate, barely time to wait, Woh - oh, what I want to know, where does the time go? I live in a silver mine and I call it Beggar's Tomb; I got me a violin and I beg you call the tune Anybody's choice, I can hear your voice. Woh - oh, what I want to know, how does the song go? Come hear the Uncle John's Band by the riverside Got some things to talk about, here beside the risin' tide Come hear Uncle John's Band playing to the tide, Come on along, or go alone, He's come to take his children home. Woh - oh, what I want to know, how does the song go? Come hear Uncle John's Band by the riverside, Got some things to talk about here beside the risin' tide. Come hear Uncle John's Band playing to the tide, come on Along or go alone, he's come to take his children home. |
