Yeah, even though my dad is retired navy I still refer to myself as a navy brat. Went out with a few seal team members too and a girlfriend of mine was married to one so there were times when he had to just up & leave & she had no idea where he was or when he'd be back....but she knew that when she married him. guess that's what you sign up for eh? Yep, and you learn when it's time to be independent and take care of things and when to break him back into regular life.......when my dad was overseas my mom had to take care of everything & make all the decisions....when my dad came back I'd automatically ask my mom if I could do something & she say "go ask your dad"...I'd go ask & he'd say.."go ask your mom"....lol Being in the middle was such a pain 
Ya I've heard that's a REAL issue in military families. Not easy I'm sure. |
