Hey willy you still here. I walked away for a few and the dang thing flipped without me.
Anyway I checked out the link hg posted and backtracked from there and found your pics of the country side, why do they call it dry creek if there is a lake? Does it dry up during certain times of the year? Anyway the mountains are my second love next to the beach. I was raised on the beach but grandad was from the blue ridge, must be in my blood from somewhere. |

some years it drys up, most years not. That is just a pond, actually, about 5 acres, a leftover from the glacial age. Every canyoun has one similar to it. It sits at 9200 feet. The ridge behind it, and all the peaks around it, are between 11K and 12K feet. Right now, there is about 18 feet of snow covering the lake.
