Well, another season of American Idiot, ummmm I mean American Idol is almost here. Who's going to watch???

Well, call me what you will, but I'm going to watch.

I usually watch the tryouts for comic relief... then that's about it for me. But if I have something better to do, won't even bother with those either.

I now only watch the auditions. That's the main highlight. I used to watch the show all the time. Not anymore.

I took my child to see them when they were doing a concert. It's when Clay and Ruben were with the show. It was actually very good. |

american idol needs to not be on tv anymore. it is one of those shameless shows that annoy me.

Although, the last couple seasons I havent recognized ANY of the songs in the auditions. They used to do a lot of classics, now its mainly new pop junk. I must be getting old. |

i feel weird. i've never watched American Idol. Like I've never sat down TO watch it. it just doesnt draw me in.

My child and I watch it together. We eat fruit snacks while we're watching it too.

Swell. Another season of perfectly good TV airtime wasted on this crap, just so we can have another cookie-cutter no-talent perhaps taking up space on the radio charts (but most times, not).
I'm really looking forward to it.

Well, it sure looks like I am not the popular one here... I love to watch American Idol and I have watched every season since it started. While some people do not appreciate the show and feel that it is not music, I happen to disagree. This show is one that is watched by families and entire neighborhoods...there is no violence, no rude language, no overt sexual scenes...just plain entertainment for the entire family. it is on during a decent time frame where parents and kids can watch it together... now, even IF you feel the show is garbage, most people could agree that bringing a family together to enjoy a show and communicate about the show...(which may just lead to other conversations with their children) is not a bad thing. There are many TV shows that I do not care for that others do...I do not feel that it is my position to judge the people who watch the shows... So, yes, I am going to watch and OMG!!! I am even going to DVR it so I can watch it if I am not able to see the show!! *gasp* when I see people like Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, David Cook...all who have talent...and to think they got their start on American Idol... I look forward to the start of the season January 13th!! |
