my question is.... after you caught them in the first lie why would you still of talked to him? obviously it was a scam...no doubt in my mind but why would one even give that time to figure out it was? one lie like that i block them rather a scammer or just a plain liar....

I know - really stupid of me to allow it to go one minute further - but he was very plausible and it seemed logical to start with - it was only this morning's contact changed so abruptly that I started adding up all of the little things and seeing them collectively as I should have done that the optimistic rose tinted glasses got removed. After all I am human and like most people I wanted to think the best. Happily I think I spotted it early enough and didn't fork out any cash like other people I have since found out have done.
