Behind the emptiness
of an ill-fated match,
I sift even deeper
to find that catch.

That "22" that must exist
The part that hides
what should be bliss.

Once upon a time,
there was "something"
that drew us both in -
"Show Me" the Neeeeed
deeply rooted neath skin.

Show me the pith
of the orange neath rind.
Show me the seeds
of the grape on the vine.

Ahhhh, like the orange and grape,
one must deeply indulge
to find the heart
past the outer fruit bulge.
