We occupy a soverign nation while our own people stand in welfare lines. We bailout independent buisnesses while our own people flail in debt. We try to police the world, but fail to police the criminals in Washington DC. We outsource jobs overseas while our own people stand in un-employement lines. We look to others for change but fail to change our own way of thinking.
When will Americans wise up and get there share? When will they raise up and take whats theres? We need to fill that gaping hole, with some self preservation and love and understanding for peoples differences and get this country back on the right path |

I agree with your statement Brandon, whole heartedly but there needs to be a plan of action and a leader what do you suggest?

I agree with your statement Brandon, whole heartedly but there needs to be a plan of action and a leader what do you suggest? I would suggest a social, cultural and political revolution. Ok, 3 revolutions then. I'm not the O.P. or American though. |

You don't know me very well, so you wouldn't know that I have plenty of answers- I'm not used to being asked, usually I get told to mind my own business and keep my nose out. [or something along those lines]
I'm Scottish, living in Scotland. Lets start with political revolution then; the American political procedure needs a complete overhaul from the ground up, Ron Paul has come up with the best suggestions so far, imho. My advice would be to let Americans have more say in who actually gets to run for POTUS in the first place. |

agreed though i will have to reference Ron Paul, but then Americans would have to care enough to act

Ron Paul had my vote. There are very many others like him out there. Check out the Libertarian party. I think one of the main problems the US has is people look to the government to often for the solution to their problems.

Nothing can be done. We have a democracy. Majority is educated by government. They won't vote against the government.

Greed will catch up to anyone, their wallets are more important to them than saving the planet.

Nothing can be done. We have a democracy. Majority is educated by government. They won't vote against the government. This why it's important to read & get a well rounded education. My daughter attended public school, but most of her real education came from independant reading. |

I agree with your statement Brandon, whole heartedly but there needs to be a plan of action and a leader what do you suggest? "We need to be the change we wish to see in the world and make our lives are message" We need no leader, we need to govern our own minds. Repression only breed retaliation, and when power is consolodated and forced on others, repression will allways flourish |

Nothing can be done. We have a democracy. Majority is educated by government. They won't vote against the government. I thought you 'had' a republic, not a democracy? Yes, sir. We supposed to have a republic. However, it was pressed in to the mind of every child, that we have a democracy and should be proud of it. It is should be clear then, why government run dept. of education insisted on democracy. |

My daughter attended public school, but most of her real education came from independant reading. Would you say she is a minority? Yes I think so. I think most parents leave education up to the government. I think it's a parental responsability & the public schools are just one tool you have. I always supplemented what she was learning with newspapers, books, magazines & daytrips. The computer too when we got internet access. |

I always supplemented what she was learning with newspapers, books, magazines & daytrips. The computer too when we got internet access. This was my understanding of the situation today. Very few parents are actually taking control. Most, simply present the excuse and blame the schools, like schools supposed to work in their favor and yet, they don't. Whis is the root of my somewhat "pessimistic" attitude. Since we have a 'practical' democracy, the opinion of minority that actually know what is right, does not matter. We can be sure that our majority will make the worst possible choice. |
