It will suck at times. You will get yelled at for other people screwing up.
But just try to remember they are trying to build teamwork amongst a lot of young kids, some of them who think they are the only ones on this earth. They teach you through repitition so when it comes down to it your reactions are intstinct. the faster you all come together and work as a team the better it will get.
Like itry said before you know it, it will be over and possibly be one of the more proudest moments of yyour life.

Good luck and I thank you with all my heart!

I have a few family members that went thru the Marine basic training. Each one of them has said that it was azz breaking but the best experience.

You can do anything that you set your mind to. Go rock it girl!

Congrats!!! You have a lot of people cheering for you!

When the going gets tough, grit you teeth and think "I can do this for 5 more minutes." When those 5 minutes are up, think "I can do this for 5 more minutes." And when those 5 minutes are up, think "I can do this for 5 more minutes."

Just keep doing that until you are done.

You certainly have worked hard to get to this. And I can't imagine what it will be like, but you will LIVE!!! I'm sure there's a lot to be learned and it will make you a tougher person, more capable.
I'm an Army brat and my Dad was an officer. We were up early and had our list of chores and were kind of commanded, and I think it was probably good for us. But, I'm glad he didn't force us into military school or that training stuff.
I do recall watching all those young fellows doing training, right from our officers' quarters. It looked HARD!!!! And mean!!! But you'll do just fine. Be kind to yourself and get ready to nurture yourself to compensate for the rough training.

It won't be nearly as bad as you may fear. I remember having the jitters myself about it but after the first day or so I realized that if some of the "genuises" that were here with me could hack it, I sure could also.
Just keep in mind that even the most hard-core and downright terroristic seeming D.I.'s were once where you're standing now. Although you can't see their fear and confusion at the time, they sure remember it.
My advice would be to choose the friends you'll make wisely, as that will definetly either increase or decrease the stress you'll have heaped onto you. Never volunteer for anything and always pay extreme close attention to detail.
Attitude is altitude in basic...The better your attitude about it all, the higher you'll fly above it.
Best of luck and thanks so much for your commitment to serve our country. (salute)

just keep reminding yourself that its a mindf*ck. They are gonna push you further than you think you can go. Even if you do it perfect, they'll tell you that you screwed it up

but it's over quick
