I think meeting halfway is better. Noone has a "homefield" advantage, and we both get a vacation in a new place if it dont work out.

Yeah, even without expectations if someone was willing to be that trusting. Wouldn't hesitate.

Yeah, if I had the money and was willing to lose it in case the person was a scam. That is a risk I would often be willing to take. So far I haven't been scammed.

I would hope.... that a gentleman near my age would have his life together enough that he could pay his own way. If he meets me on here...it means he owns a computer....thus he can afford the gas money. If I am really impressed with him I'll provide the sleeping quarters.

She paid the flight and flew to me. I paid all the meals for us for the week. About the same as to say split the costs.. And some gifts for her to take home.

at this point in my life I wouldn't pay..And I hope that they would care enough that they would pay there own way..ButI also understand if they can't afford it ..andneedto wait a bit til they can..

Depends on many things. 1) My financial situation at the time. 2) My feelings and e-relationship with the person 3) My Living situation (currently living with parents) 4) My divorce. I'm not getting that involved untill its final. 5) Her intentions. 6) Her reasons for not being able to at least half the expense. But that's just me. I've never had a lot of money to blow, therefore, I've never blown a lot of money.
