Wow, so muslims aren't allowed to even speak on flights anymore. What a load of crap. Those white people saw them and got scared. Figures.whoa slaphead

Welcome to Democracy [the mob rule]!

What's the big deal, HellKitty? For example, I am caucasian, and because of that I am not allowed to take any kind of help that blacks are entitled to.

No problem. Majority rules, and aren't we proud of it?

When I get on a plane, the only thing I am concerned about is were the barf bag is located. It does seem to be a strange comment the brother made given the times we are living in. I say better safe than sorry. IMO

Not really. Have you ever had a seat near one of the engines? It's quite annoying.

Aren't the engines near the wings? I've sat near the wings. I was annoyed I couldn't see the view too well. Oddly enough, looking out the window helps the nausea.
My only thought is that the brother might have been very young. That would explain a curiosity to me.
When I went through security, there was a white man in his sixties in front of me and a white girl in her twenties behind me. They both got searched. I went through. Go figure.

From what I saw the terrorists were dressed quite normal. They wouldn't dress suspiciously one would think.

What if what they heard was true, and they didn't report it and the plane was blown up. Not sure it would be responsible not to do something.

However if they rechecked this group, they should have allowed them to go their way. I doubt very much they can sue for this...

Aren't the engines near the wings?

It depends. On Boeing 767, for example, they are hanging off wings. On other aircrafts, they may-be attached to the "main body" of a plane, near the tail.

Even at security check-points, they claim not to do racial profiling but they do!

This summer I went to Buffalo to present research. My friend Achmad who is in the scholar's group went with me. We went through the check-in and security together. When we got through he told me that it was the first time that he got through a security check-point without being pulled aside. I wonder why? Maybe that he was traveling with an american? hhmmm!

OK, lets bet then.

You say there is help for all kinds of people. This wasn't the point of disagreement. I would not bet against that, since I know there is help for all kinds of people.

It was that there is something that is available to black and not whites.

What is your bet then, to say that anything that is available for blacks is available for white, or in other words, that there is no racial preference against whites.

Yes, salvation army provides many many services based off of need, not racial profiling.

The organization I work for provides service for anyone that meets criteria, not racial criteria.

Who ever insisted that your organization is Racist?
May-be you should pick your fight with whoever said that about Salvation Army?

Back from work, and i must say i'm already tired of this news story. All the T.V.s in the concourse areas were all tuned into Headline News, and they ran this story every 15 minutes. I worked back there for 4 hours, so you can understand why i don't care about this family or their troubles anymore. rant

I first flew on my own in the mid to late 60's.

My father, a law librarian was a former flight mechanic in the navy. I wasn't even ten but my father hung his dog tags around my neck and told me to take care of myself. I'd already been traveling as long as I can remember. He instructed me to pick a seat between the engines and the tail section just in case. It was safer he said in case of a mechanical failure or crash.

I am damned glad that happened so long ago. I can see the charges piling up now.

Terrorist Acts
Child Endangerment
Impersonating Military Personal
Collusion
Conspiracy

I'd be removed from my parents home, put on not fly lists, my parents would be jailed...
