Obama's change.gov website has quietly dropped any reference to his campaign promise to enact a windfall profits tax on the oil companies to the delight of many republicans.

Exon Mobile had another record year and will pay nearly 40 billion in income taxes in 2008. This single corporation will pay more income tax than the bottom 50% of all taxpayers.

2009 is looking to be a much less profitable year for the oil companies - and the US Treasury.

Another campaign flip flop and Obama hasn't even been sworn in.
