list some of the scariest movies ever. and remember, there are a lot scarier things than torture porn (saw, hills have eyes, etc) for me poltergeist, IT, exorcism of emily rose, the "new" omen, and the thing is a classic (scarred the POOP outa me when i was younger) IT scared me at the time...I'll remember it as the defining horror of my early life...for years afterward, clotheslines and sinkholes made me nervous.
We even invented a game around it called Pennywise tag (unimaginatively enough, it was the same idea as freeze tag). Not scary at all anymore, but still a classic. As far as true scary, take any Japanese horror that has been adapted into an Americanized version. The Ring, The Grudge, Shutter and The Eye are the four scariest movies I have ever seen.
