before i share this let me give a breif history

i have not talked to my dad in 24 years nor have i heard from him

i pray n as God the father daily to look after my dad

today i recieved a email from my dad

suprised me n almost in shock

but he made a promise to all us kids he do somethin on our 40th birthday
(4 years late but better late then never ....right)

ya see my dad asked each of us kids at age 10 to write what we wanted
to do in life...things that we know we could do

hers my list

1. be a singer
2.make the whole world smile (im still workin on that
one... )
3.try n feed as many as i can
4. pray every day
5. look out for women n children
6. be a good influance on people
7. never turn down a friend
8. be the best i can be
9. be kind to animals
10. allways say please n thank you


even tho we have not even talked his last words on the email was

in big bold letters

Wonderful 2step! Yes Prayers do get answered. Not allways in the time
frame we might want-but they do get answered.

Except. Sometimes. They don't. And that's good, too. Most people pray
for stupid stuff that would be nothing more than an insult to the
Divine.

I'm not one for prayers of request, myself. If it is the Plan for my
prayer to be answered, then it will be regardless of my speaking the
request. And if my wish is not to be, then it will not be answered
regardless of my insistance.


In either scenario- I choose to Trust. Either I will recieve my prayer,
or it is better that I do not. I'll save my time with my Creator for
prayers of thanks, not prayers of request.
