You ever get this feeling.. pre say you get injured on the job, then you finally need a break or time off because the pain is becoming brothersome to you so much so every time you try to work it hurts and the pain isn't getting any better. Then you get a note from your doctor whom of which say's they don't need to see you because you already seen him once for the injury, now all of a sudden the company is giving you the run around and delaying crap so they don't have to pay you etc.

What would you do.

I guess I should have said.. you already seen the doctor and he gives you a note for rehab and all but the place work you for isn't wanting to pay up even though they know what they have to do.

bylaw most companies are obligated to take care of all areas of the situation for life-even if you quit. however-there are companies that do not have the same workers comp coverage as the majority do-plus states differ too. dont forget there is also dispute affiliated programs and better business bureau. i hope this helps and is as legally acurate as possible

Sounds like you need a 2nd opinion from another doctor. You also have a case manager at L&I or whoever your workman's comp. is through, have you contacted them about your issues with your employer? Good luck.

I don't think I need a second opinion even though it never ever hurts to get one at all, I'm just saying this because of the area of injury I was injured at and all and the doctor I used for a preview injury. lol even though the company is using that againest me as much as they like I have to say differently about it.

do you have a union?

if not follow their rules. if you need to see th dr... see him and if you can't afford it explain that its because they won't pay you and you will pay the dr for the copay when they pay you... and the dr should be willing ot help.

comp companies are horrible. they scare the crap outta me. and i work for a dr.

I had a preview injury in which all heeled up just fine. Then got injured with in the same area at work that is what I am saying.

Plus all the doctor told me is I need rehab which I am still awaiting on. But I am also on work limits but the bad part is the job I have you can't do anything with out going beyond those limits etc, or keep getting more sore etc.

No unions.. the company I work for dislikes them.

It's not that I can't affored to go to the doctors, there isn't much they can do for me at this point in time other then ask why haven't I gone to rehab and all I can say is because the company is unwilling to pay because there being a$$'s about it.

well-the reason i asked is because-you saying you had a previos injury-thats all they hear-dumb i know, but thats major corps for ya. anywho-you need to say that when you started working you were well enough to carry out the duties of the job. but then your injury was effected and made worse. as far as payment-they will push it back as far as possible-if not denied altogether. i would talk to H.R.<proof-read handbook> and do everything they ask-p.t.,meds..w/e keep copies of ALL papers! if all else fails-get legal advise

I just went and found an attorney. I was working for Walgreens, and I developed tendonitis. I haven't been to the doctor since March, because after they fired me, it didn't bother me enough to worry about. It started hurting a little more a couple of weeks ago and when I tried to go to the doctor, they said they cancelled my workmans comp because they thought it must have gotten better since I had not been to the doctor in so long. I didn't want to waste time or money when it didn't hurt that much. That's what I get for trying not to take advantage of the system. I got hold of an attorney online and I hope that soon he will get this straightened out.

The workman's comp. case manager can pressure the company into following through with the doctor's recommendations, they can make the company send you to rehab or whatever is required, that is why I asked if you had contacted them. They do have a lot of power. The longer you sit around and take it, the longer your company will push you around, I would contact your case manager and workman's comp. and tell them what is going on, and ask them to help you get into rehab or whatever the doctor has requested. If they have an issue with it, then you will likely need an attorney.

this kind of thing happens-they will find any crack to get out of paying. KEEP GOING TO THE DOCTOR'S!! if they see you dont do follow-ups,they will drop you.

It's the case manager and all that is giving me a hard time, not the company because they said it's out of there hands once the case manager takes it.

Yeah, true.. good point. Even though I'm doing what I can do. But the company that is supposed to be taken care of things is failing to do so. Much less want to pay me.

The H.R won't do noting because she told me it's out of her hands once it goes into another company that is supposed to be taken care of this.
