My daughters are 19 (engaged) and 20 (career professional) and we're all close and "in on" each others relationships. How much do you listen to their opinions when it comes to your own dates?

I've screwed up when they warned me "not good enough" and I've missed the best one when they encouraged me to not let her get away. Next time, I'm listening. How 'bout you?

its funny we listen to our own children, but yet they dont listen to us when we know there relationship isent going any where.
it took my daughter 10yrs to see the light on her kids dad, and we saw it way before

My kids are usually right, I think sometimes we are so mixed up in the "new" we dont see things as well as the kids do.

I've learned to heed and listen to my kids about their sense of the men with whom I date. They are just about 100% right!!!

When it comes to heeding my advice, they're at the age they consider mine still in the beta testing stage: afterwards, they say, "You're always right" but still haven't learn to trust it. Maybe soon.

kids know more than we really know, especially when it comes to relationships, but then when the kids get older they dont want to see

My 9 year old asked me once if I had a g/f. I told her no then asked her why, and she told me she didnt want me to be alone. I think that may have been the sweatest thing anyone has ever said to me.
Now I just have to work on it.
