See, I always turn into the closet lane. But then, I'm paranoid.
That's not paranoia, that exercising the proper legal maneuver. |

1. Let the insurance take care of it all and make sure you document everything that occurred and the issues you need to go through with regard to your physical well-being. 2. Get a reputable attorney. Ticket or no, the insurance adjuster(s) have the power to make practically any decision they want. Get medical attention (not EMT ER stuff only) and never say you're okay until time passes. 3. sue her ass for negligence. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to get at with these statements. But it sounds to me like you would like her to seek damages for her injury to her knee. I don't have a problem with seeking payment for vehicle damages, or medical bills. But if you're looking for her to go for the ol' "pain and suffering" pay-off... that's just a little greedy to me. |

That's not paranoia, that exercising the proper legal maneuver. Exactly! Please, stay in your own dang lane when turning. If you needed to be in the other lane after the turn, you should have been there BEFORE you turned. |

Maybe in major cities they have multi-turn lanes, I dunno. |

Waiting on the friend to take me to get cat food. I called and it looks like they have a phone service on the weekends. So I'll call back after I get the cat food. Really, I'm just trying to calm down enough so I don't get all stressed out.
One thing I didn't know until this year. If you are in an accident, call the OTHER person's insurance company first. Once you get a claim number from them, call your own. Makes it easier for your company to go after the other one then. They work harder then. |

Not merging to the left lane while in the middle of the intersection. That's the situation I was reffering to. Multiple lanes turning. |

Without a citation to prove it was her fault , will her insurance company pay out? I'd have asked the cop that question before he left the scene.

Kinda looks like I've got two knee caps now. And where is my ride. She said she would come over and call me when she got here and it has been 40 minutes. She lives 8 minutes away. |

Moondark, I'm sorry to hear you've been injured in that accident. It really sounds like you should seek medical attention for your knee.....it shouldn't look like you have two kneecaps on one knee!
As for the insurance companies and suing well, my sister was hit from behind and she's been trying to work with the insurance company and when they told her her medical bills would be covered at 80% and she'd be responsible for the rest she complained that she didn't ask to be hit from behind and they told her her best recourse was to sue! |

It's just swelling. It feels better now. But then, I keep moving it to keep it from stiffening up. It's the one side of my back that is really stiffening up now. I don't think it is much though. The air bags didn't even deploy. But I'm now thinking that my car may not be worth fixing. If it costs as much as the police guestimate, then that is about the blue book value on my car. So I don't know what it going to happen.
