I ate at one of these in Hawaii. It was really good.
Three of us went to one Friday. It was NOT good. I had a mahi mahi sandwich. The may and onions made the sandwich. The blackend Mahi Mahi wasn't all that blackend. I said no pickles and got pickles. One person asked for BBQ sauce on his burger that didn't come with it. Never got it. The other person that the mini-cheese burgers were really blah. The fries were HORRIBLE. They must have been making to large a batch at a time. One end would be burnt while the other end was undercooked. They were soggy for burnt fries. They were thin shoe string fries. If I wanted wimpy fries I could go to McDonald's. As another person said, the really sad thing is that McDonald's fries are much better fries. |

My favorite, which I can no longer get, was a Roy Rogers' Double R Bar with cheese. It had ham, cheese and BBQ on the burger. You could get a holster of fries, too, but they weren't so good. I love steak cut french fries. Oh, Chili's makes a good bacon cheeseburger, too!!!
Love Jimmy Buffett!! |

I think I might have to go to Runza. They have a great cheese burger and fantastic fries. Here in Red Bluff, Rhere's a place called the Cowgirl Cafe, and they have a great buger, fries, and beverage for $5.99 as a daily special. There's also a place called Hal's eat em Up, and they have a killer bacon western cheesburger that comes with a good size onion ring on it, really good... |

"Islands" makes some pretty decent burgers. "Hamburger Hamlet" also made some good ones as well (dunno if they're still around, though).
The absolute WORST place to get burgers OR hot dogs is "Cupid's", a local chain of eateries here in L.A.- rubbery hot dogs, burgers that look like someone put a flamethrower on them (along with the diesel fuel taste), and chili that... well... doesn't look like chili (unless it came out the other end, that is)... it was the simply horrible stuff. Absolutely pitiful. And the worst part about them is that they've been adding more storefronts the last couple of years, too. So someone's buying their crap... just not me. |
